The Ghanaian Youth Can Lead: Preparing for Leadership and Responsibility

The role of young people in shaping Africa’s political and social future.

On 21 October 2026, I joined Ghana Nie on Atinka TV to discuss “Africa Youth Empowerment – The Ghanaian Youth Can Lead.” The conversation explored the role of young people in shaping Africa’s political and social future.

I believe meaningful youth empowerment begins with personal responsibility. While institutions must provide fair opportunities for participation, young people must equally invest in their own development, build their competence and demonstrate the integrity and discipline that effective leadership demands.

Leadership is more than occupying positions; it is about being prepared to serve, taking initiative and using one’s abilities to make a meaningful contribution.

Africa needs a generation that combines ambition with competence, conviction with integrity, and the desire for progress with a commitment to service.
